Oh, Deedee, I am so sorry. I haven't checked in for awhile and am just reading this now. I lost my 16 yr old cat this summer and every time someone asks if I am getting another I miss her more.
I, too, have been sorta out of Blogland for a week or two and am very sorry to hear of your loss. I'm not emotional about animals as a rule but I still sometimes feel sad about the loss of Big Puss nearly 7 years ago. We are odd creatures we humans.
The loss of our animal buddies is a sadness that's hard to explain, but, boy, does it hurt. I'm sorry your friend is gone.
